How do I make sure my car isn't double-booked?
We're setup to handle that automatically through our calendar syncing technology. Whether your car is booked on another marketplace or if it's in for service, it'll be made unavailable on each respective calendar.
Does it cost more to add Getaround to my cars?
Not at this time. We're providing this added benefit to all of our Hassle-Free Managed vehicles free of charge. If your car is an Economy car, the Getaround integration is not available to you, however your car can be upgraded if you'd like to add Getaround as well.
Do I have to install the Getaround Connect device?
You do unless you have a Tesla. The device is free for a certain period of time and then comes with a small monthly fee. Please see the Getaround website for those details.
How will management of Getaround be different?
For right now, everything for the guest experience will be largely the same. We will continue to check vehicles in and out and meet guests in valet to confirm identity and provide keys. Guests will also return vehicles in valet at our facility just as they do now.
How much more can I expect to make? Will I make more?
While we can't guarantee the performance of any vehicle on any marketplace, we expect every owner to make more by diversifying and offering their car in more places. What this will primarily do is help fill gaps between trips currently booked on Turo and should help during the slower months of Turo as Getaround and Turo market to different demographics and serve different purposes.
Who is responsible for pricing my vehicle?
The Getaround system will automatically price your vehicle based on its value and market rate.
How will I be paid by Getaround?
Each owner will be paid directly from Getaround once a month either by electronic payment or by a mailed check. This is something you'll setup on your account.
Can Hassle-Free Car setup my Getaround account for me?
We cannot. Each account and vehicle must be setup by you as the owner, but once that's done, we can manage the vehicle, trips, etc for you. At no time do we ever login to your Getaround account, we only manage from our system which will be connected to your Getaround account.
How are fuel, tolls, and other reimbursements handled?
We will handle submitting all reimbursement requests to Getaround on your behalf.
Will you handle damage claims with Getaround for me?
Yes! If your car is damaged we will handle the process of ensuring the repairs are completed and covered by Getaround for all qualifying damage. Check out their Trust & Safety page for information about their coverage.
